Calling all artists interested in participating in our Art@theMarket on the
first Saturday of each month. The market is designed to provide the
public with an avenue for finding locally-produced, original artwork and
to provide artists with a venue for selling their fine art.
Art@theMarket will offer original and unique art focusing on the arena
of fine arts. Artistic categories include painting, drawing, pottery,
photography, mixed media and others. Crafts are not permitted.
There is a $40 fee for Slidell Art League members and a $50 vendor
participation fee for non members. There is a multi-market discount
available for participation in four upcoming markets.
The market is scheduled for the first Saturday of each month from 8:30
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The location is on Second Street in Olde Towne next to
the Camellia City Farmers Market. Participants are required to provide
their own set up for a 10 x 10 space. A white tent is preferred.
Our first monthly market drew over 250 people and we have continued to
grow each month! "We are very excited about Art@theMarket", said SAL
Executive Director, Sharon DeLong. "With such close proximity to the
Camellia City Farmers Market and easy parking availability, not to
mention the new tax breaks for original art, this has been a very
successful endeavor for us.”
Interested parties may download a registration form and vendor
contract for the event at www.slidellartleague.info. Final registration for
the market will be the Friday before the Saturday market date, at 2:00 pm.
