| Artist of the Month |
Artist of the Month (AOM) competitions are held at the General Membership Meeting on
the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Current SAL members may participate in the AOM
competition by submitting one piece of work per meeting. Previous SAL award
winning works are not eligible for entry into the AOM competition. Members choose at
the beginning of the year, or upon initial entry to AOM, whether to compete in the
Master Division or the Apprentice Division. This choice will remain for the duration of
the fiscal year, July-June. Points are tallied each month and added to points awarded
to show-winning pieces. Artist with the highest score at the end of the fiscal year will
be awarded Artist of the Year.

the SAL Teen Division. AOY will be determined by the highest cumulative total score of
the Artist of the Month competitions and score given for show winners.
At the end of the fiscal year (July - June), points are tallied from each AOM competition
and Show Winning Awards. The artist having the highest cumulative total of points of
AOM competitions and show awards will be declared the Slidell Art League Artist of the
Year (AOY) for each division described above.
