Artist’s Biography
Tennessee born artist Charlie Brown believes that works of art should invite
people to stop and interact, and hopefully stir the individuals’ own creative
thoughts and touch their souls. The self taught artist made Slidell his home in
1990. Charlie’s artistic interests began with photography, and expanded to free
artistic expression of painting and metal sculptures. Charlie’s canvases are often
found objects or weathered wood—the elements of the earth and our everyday life.
He loves the thickness and texture of paint sticks, using mostly his favorite colors
of blood red and black.
