Membership Meetings -- When & Where

Monthly Membership meetings are held the second Monday of each month at the Gallery upstairs in the
Train Depot, 1827 Front Street., Slidell, La beginning at 7 p.m.
Artist of the Month (AOM)

Artist of the Month monthly competition begins prior to those meetings at 6:30 p.m. Members bring in a
piece of work to be voted on by your peers. There are two levels:  Master and Apprentice. All artists
taking part in the AOM must sign the AOM Agreement and fill out a small Artist Bio. (Please read and
follow the AOM Agreement for guidelines to avoid dis-qualification.)



Awards/Display Locations

Master:
  • 1st Place - St. Tammany Parish Library, Slidell Branch - 555 Robert Blvd.
  • 2nd Place - Slidell Memorial Hospital - Gause Blvd.
  • 3rd Place - The Beignet Station - Slidell Train Depot - 1827 Front Street
  • 4th Place or Honorable Mention - Ribbon

Apprentice:
  • 1st Place - Parish National Bank - Olde Town Slidell - 2065 Front Street
  • 2nd Place - The Beignet Station - Slidell Train Depot - 1827 Front Street
  • 3rd Place - Barbara's Victorian Closet -- Olde Towne Slidell -- 124 Erlanger St
  • 4th Place or Honorable Mention - Ribbon



The Master Artist of the Year holds a solo show of his or her work for two weeks in the SAL gallery.
Apprentice Artist of the Year shares a two week show with the SALT Artist of the Year.
