Members of the Slidell Art League for Teens (SALT) recently provided an art project for the members of Sunshine House, a
program of the Mental Health Association of St. Tammany. The project is part of the Slidell Art League's Our Part Thru Art
program in which members of the art league bring the opportunity for creative expression to those who may not otherwise
have the opportunity. SALT plans to continue its project throughout the summer at the Sunshine House. From left are Sony
Kruckenberg, SALT member Jessica Fletschinger, Barbara Zuviceh, SALT member Cindy Richard and Debbie Chiusano.
OPTA Chairperson, Bruce Hume, is currently the only artist participating in the OPTA Program. So please
contact Bruce at cbhume3@cbhumeart.com to sign up and give the gift of learning art to those who are less
fortunate. There are many people and institutions that could use the OPTA Program if we had enough artists
participating. Any help would be greatly appreciated by Slidell Art League, Bruce, and all those who would
benefit from your generosity.
